This excellent fishing beat enjoys a tranquil and picturesque rural setting in an area, which is well wooded and abundant with wildlife. The rural hamlet of Haytown is approximately 50 yards from the self-contained village of Bradworthy with its variety of shops surrounding the village square, doctor's and veterinary surgery, places of worship and primary school, the pub is 4 miles. The thriving market town of Holsworthy is approximately 7 miles to the south.

DESCRIPTION

The beat extends to approximately 450 yards and is marked at either end on the ground by timbered posts and on the attached identification plan by points 'A' and 'B'. There is good bank casting and easy wading through several of the races, which have been created between the six excellent holding pools. There is excellent insectivorous life on and in the river, which encourage the indigenous wild brown trout to feed vigorously throughout the summer and enables one to enjoy some excellent sport. When the water is right, there is a run of sea trout from mid June onwards and the occasional salmon as they pass through to their spawning ground. The beat offers excellent vehicular access as well as peace and tranquillity and a wide variety of wildlife

VIEWING

All applicants can walk along the riverbank at any time. All interested parties are reminded to respect the landowners property and stock which may be grazing on the ground and the agents insist that all dogs be kept on leads at all times and children under strict supervision. Please close the fishing gate on entering and leaving the beat.
